Jesus: Messiah or Myth? - Book - Page 46
“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human
being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak
and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”
Numbers 23:19
When I began speaking out about the way people have
been duped by Christianity, I knew I would be taking a lot of
flak from those who refuse to let go of the belief system that
has brought them a great deal of comfort and hope.
From my experience, I understand the emotional
connection Christians have to their faith, as so many were
told repeatedly as children how much they are loved and
protected by Jesus. The concept wormed its way into their
hearts and to let go of it is unthinkable, even when
compelling evidence for its corruption is staring them in the
face.
But holding on to a false ideology because it gives you
some type of psychological security is not a reason to do
so. Our souls are at stake here and the last thing we want to
do is put a wedge between ourselves and God.
Recognizing this fact is the driving force behind the
work I am doing. I am not only passionate about spreading
the truth of Tanakh but also deeply committed to helping
Christians find their way back to the One, True God of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
If that means getting verbally attacked sometimes, I’m
just fine with it . And it certainly will not deter me from
continuing on. A rabbi friend of mine told me to pay the
naysayers no mind, as they are just a bunch of barking dogs.
