people seem to lack the understanding that no one gets a
“free hall pass into everlasting life” simply for believing Jesus
wiped their slates clean.
As I have been studying Tanakh and learning about the
Jews and the way they practice their faith, I have been
amazed at how spiritually deep it is. And if you want to talk
about accountability, these folks must follow 613
commandments, which include the initial 10 the Lord gave to
Moses on Mount Sinai.
The rabbis, along with my Jewish friends, take these
laws seriously. And when it comes to the amount of time they
devote to prayer and study, these men and women put
Christians to shame. Communing this closely with God on a
daily basis is guaranteed to bring about a great deal of
wisdom, clarity and most of all, sanity.
I had detailed earlier in this book my experience of
gaining incredible revelations about the truth of God after
spending many years in very close communion with Him. I
can honestly say I transformed through that journey
enlightened beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined.
The time we spend with our Creator in worship, praise
and study is the key to our soul’s evolution. It also is our
lifeline to all that we desire, including unspeakable joy,
unwavering faith and absolute peace.
But we have to do this work ourselves by striving to be
all that God made us to be, including righteous in His
sight. He told Cain, the murderous brother of Abel in the
book of Genesis, he had the power within himself
