Short Trips
Paphos Harbour
The harbour is a popular spot for lunch;
you might even catch a glimpse
of the local pelicans strolling along
the pedestrian area. There are various
options for boat trips and boat hire
here. A visit to Paphos mosaics is very
interesting, the entrance is between
the harbour and parking area, allow
one to two hours. Tomb of the Kings is
also recommended. The Old Town has a
charming indoor market, as well as the
new pedestrianised area (town centre
plaza and Makarios Avenue shopping
street), which is about a 10 minute drive
up the hill from the harbour.

Nicosia
The old town is a higgledy piggledy
city of small streets, abandoned
buildings, wonderful old balustrades,
doorways and small shops. Ledra
Street is a pedestrianised street full of
lovely shops and cafes, and from here
you can go on foot for a trip over the
border (which is quite relaxed these
days, but you must take your passport)
to the Turkish side (officially known as
the occupied territories).
Latchi
A beautiful fishing village with
a picturesque harbour, a lovely
spot for lunch - particularly for
seafood options. Visit one of the
sandy beaches for a relaxing day of
sunbathing and snorkelling. The
‘secret’ beach down the cliff edge of
the Aphrodite Beach restaurant is
great and is also really close to the
entry to the ‘Baths of Aphrodite’ as well
as the starting point of two wonderful
walks. Latchi is around a 45 minute
drive from Paphos town.
