Pissouri Village
Have a coffee or a drink in O’Vrakas
Taverna in the pretty village square and
watch the world go by with the locals
by day. Take the time to wander around
this picturesque village where the
backstreets and old buildings paint a
lovely picture of village life in Cyprus.
Pissouri Bay is also a beautiful spot for
a coffee, and the pebbled beach here
is a great option for sunbathing or
watersports for the more adventurous.
Kourion
Kourion archaeological site is a mustvisit if you are into history. There are
acres of well preserved columns,
mosaics and archaeological remains to
explore, plus an impressive
amphitheatre (which still hosts concerts
to date) with stunning views over
Kourion Beach and the sea. Kourion
beach is beautiful and very sandy, but
the sea is a little choppy. Chris Blue Bar
(middle restaurant) is great for brunch
or lunch if you are peckish.
Limassol Marina
Limassol Marina was completed
in 2014, and is one of the most
impressive projects in Cyprus
to date. It is a lovely spot for an
afternoon wander where you can
fantasise about the yacht of your
dreams. Grab a coffee and watch
the world go by, or get a bite to
eat in one of the beautiful seafood
restaurants.
Not far from the Marina is the old
town of Limassol which hosts the
old medieval castle, where Richard
the Lionheart wed Berengaria of
Navarre in the Middle ages, but
nowadays houses the Cyprus
Medieval Museum. There are some
beautiful eateries nearby (we would
recommend any of the Carob Mill
restaurants next to the castle), and
we would definitely recommend a
walk along the cobbled backstreets
where you are sure to find some
souvenir and craft shops.
