20 YEARS!
It was a day full of celebration for Habitat for
Humanity of Williamson County, Texas! The
Central Texas nonprofit
recently celebrated
its 20th anniversary by
hosting an open house and
ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The event also commemorated the recent completion of the
expansion of their Georgetown administrative office. The expansion includes
new reception and volunteer areas, a conference room, and an
additional restroom. A very special guest was on hand. Betty
Jo Patterson, the first Habitat homeowner for the affiliate,
received BIG congratulations when it was announced that she
paid her mortgage—in full and early!
Habitat for Humanity provides affordable housing and home
repair services to families in need. The local nonprofit helps
families build a decent and affordable place to call home, helping them to achieve the strength, stability, and independence
to build a better future!

Domestic Violence Nonprofit
What started in 2018 as the creation of Georgetown High
School junior Michael Hoffa has grown into an annual fundraiser benefiting Texas Advocacy Project.
Hoffa, a varsity athlete, spearheaded a tennis tournament
called “The Berry Creek Open” through his participation in
Teen Ambassadors of Hope − TAP’s campaign to empower
teens and raise awareness about teen dating violence and
healthy dating relationships — when he was challenged to
create a fundraising and outreach plan.
The first annual Berry Creek Open slated for 6/28–6/30 will
be “serving hope” to Texans in need of free legal services for
domestic violence and sexual assault. Divisions include singles
and doubles for adults and juniors. For more information,
sponsorship opportunities, and to register to play please visit
