Foreword by Chairman, ASEAN QS Association (AQSA)

First and foremost, we would like to thanks the special guests of honors HE
Dato Lim Jock Hoi to be with us today to officiate the conference. Thanks so
much for your supports and we very appreciate it so much!
We would to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Construction Industry
Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, MATRADE and ASEAN Secretariat
for their ensuring supports and assistances to AQSA in organizing the
conference.
The formation of AQSA has fostered closer relationship and set the base line
Standard and mutual recognition and able to promote best practices for QS profession for ASEAN.
AQSA shall embark on collaboration and cooperation between the member countries to do:

Joint diploma programs
Joint trainings, CPD, seminars, etc.
Collaboration between QS consultants in ASEAN to offer the QS services
Attachment of QS lecturers, professionals and graduates across ASEAN member countries.
Encourage the attachment of QS apprenticeship and provide students industrial training
in theOrganisation and QS firms that has already established QS practices.
AQSA shall enhance the knowledge and quality standard of engineers and architects who are practiced
as consultant QS in ASEAN countries. AQSA will accredit the QS Diploma, Post Graduate and Master
programs for architect and engineers conducted by Universities in ASEAN to ensure the quality standard
and to provide international recognition to the program. For the start, we would like to encourage the local
universities to jointly organize the program with the established universities the already have the accredited
QS programs by international QS professional bodies such as RICS, RISM, SISV and PUJA.
We would like to thanks the organizing committee, the speakers, the panelist and the
moderators.We wish AQSA all the best in their future undertakings and pray for your success!
