Don’t pick causes out of a hat
Deciding on a cause to support or a particular community
to help can be daunting. Choosing activities that people
in your organisation can genuinely relate to will help build
a sense of commitment. Real engagement from staff, rather
than ‘arms length’ funding, will yield positive rewards for
all those involved.
Be authentic – align your activities with
your values
As a successful brand, you will have established a set
of behaviours and values that are distinctive to your
organisation. These values should hold true when
considering your social initiatives. Successful recognition of
good work requires good communication of the values at the
heart of the organisation driving the positive social activities.
