National Day Celebrations 2023
This year marks Singapore’s 58th Birthday!
At the Eden Children’s Centre, the
children and teachers came for the centre’s
celebrations donned in red and white
outfits. The day featured various activities,
including coloring Singapore’s Lion, dancing
to the National Day Parade theme song
‘Shine Your Light’, and creating Singapore’s
Flag using bread, cereal, and spreads.
Inspired by the theme of ‘Reach for the
Stars’, our Eden School students created
their own pin wheel craft and decorated
their own classroom with paper bunting to
bring out the festive mood. On the actual
day, students took turns to play carnival
games and enjoyed the live food station
which consisted of cup corn, hot dog and
ice cream stations.
TNT Surveillance, who sponsored goodie
bags also volunteered to support the school
event and interacted with the students as
they learned about Singapore through a
quiz. Meanwhile, our Trigg AM and Fullerton
AM students joined Princess Elizabeth
Primary School (PEPS) for a celebration.
Together with PEPS student leaders, they
completed reciting the National Day pledge
and presented it in front of everyone.
At the Eden Centre for Adults, clients
engaged in an art activity as they created
handprints on paper, sang the National
Anthem and recited our pledge. Even the
clients who had their hands painted joined
in the singing, making it a joyful day of
festivities.
Happy National Day. Hi-five!
Happy National Day, Singapore!
Thank you TNT for the support this year!
