CIRCUIT BREAKER SPECIAL EDITION
Our Holistic Supporting Resources
During the Circuit Breaker period, our Association’s staff worked
tirelessly to provide support and resources for our students and
clients, their parents, caregivers and their families. At the same
time, our staff also focused on their self-improvement to serve
our students and clients better.
At our various centres and schools, we created new teaching
materials and explored ways to keep in constant contact with
our students and clients. Our educators and coaches used online
resources to produce engaging content while also building their
instructional videos and lesson plans to deliver them. On top
of this, they roped in parents/caregivers, remotely guiding them
to engage their children better. Additionally, our social workers
conducted regular check-ins on our students and clients to
address any potential issues surfaced.
Coaches from our Eden Centres for Adults also sourced for
online exercise videos, healthy cooking recipes and other easy-tofollow visual aids, to teach healthy habits for our clients to keep fit
at home. We endeavoured to ensure continuous support for our
clients even during these challenging times.
We established support systems to enhance the well-being of our parents and caregivers as well as the competency of our staff
members. For many parents/caregivers, it is incredibly challenging to balance caretaking and their other commitments. As such, we
provided them with access to off-site services of support. We have also upskilled our team of service professionals by conducting online
conferences and self-mastery courses.
These are unprecedented times fraught with change and disruption. But throughout all this, the Association strove to continue providing
high-quality support for all our beneficiaries, including their families.
