What is your role as a leader in ensuring Clearview
Group is a good place to work?
Part of my job is to ensure we provide the framework
for a culture that reflects the things we believe are
important to a fulfilled existence, in a growth-oriented
environment.
Our belief is that culture is an accumulation of the
thoughts, beliefs and behaviors of our team members
and the clients we serve. Team members are the primary
input to culture, so it’s critically important we continue
to add new team members that are a good cultural fit.
We accomplish this by employing a “non-recruiting,
recruiting approach.” What that means is we don’t
solicit new hires by telling them what we think they
want to hear. Conversely, we allow them to meet with
a well-rounded group of team members. Those team
members are tasked with fully disclosing who we are as
a firm, our values and how we approach things.
When a candidate completes the process and “selfselects” to join our firm, we believe we’re bringing on
the right people who have heard and seen things in
our firm that resonate with them. They ultimately are
choosing us for who we are because we’ve shown them
throughout the process, versus us hiring someone to fill
open needs.
We provide the framework, but the culture is a living,
breathing part of us, actually created by our collective
team. Being empathetic in a “left-brained” industry, we
have a leg up in creating the environment we believe
people want – even if they don’t know what to ask for.
No place is perfect, but our culture is perfect for us —
and anyone that wants to be themselves at work and
home — provided they bring the technical excellence
our clients demand.
