Testing - Testing, whether at home with a kit,
at a pharmacy, or a doctor’s office, will continue
to be an important tool to help people prevent
the spread of COVID-19 to others. Testing for
COVID-19 will also allow individuals to access
treatment earlier if needed.
Treatments - In the past few months, several
new treatments have been developed to
treat people who are at risk for serious illness
from COVID-19. There is also a preventive
medicine that is available to those who are at
high risk, including those with cancer or organ
transplants, to prevent COVID-19 infection.
Healthcare providers can help their patients
find the treatment option that is best for them.
Though we cannot predict exactly what will
happen with COVID-19, we can stay prepared.
Public health professionals, scientists, and
healthcare providers will continue to study,
test, collect and review data so that we can
continue to learn about the virus and how
best to protect ourselves and our community.
