the definition of

The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing
(HUD-VASH) program combines Housing Choice
Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless Veterans with case management and clinical services
provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA). VA provides these services for participating
Veterans at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics. Contact the local
Bureau of Aging & Disabilities at 410-386-3800 to
speak to a representative in the Veteran Services
Program.

on your rent, the ERAP program may be able to
help. To be eligible you must be renting in Carroll
County and have been impacted by COVID. For

The Homeowner assistance fund (HAF) was created to provide residential mortgage assistance to
Maryland homeowners who have experienced a
financial hardship due to COVID-19. Assistance
will take two forms: Maryland Homeowner Assistance Fund grant (HAF grant) and the Maryland
Homeowner Assistance Fund loan (HAF loan). The
HAF loan may be combined with the HAF grant.
All applications are web based. To determine eligibility and to learn more about the programs go

SPDAP provides assistance with Medicare Part
D (Prescription Drug) costs for beneficiaries who
meet the following requirements: a minimum of
6-month Maryland residency, Medicare beneficiary of any age, and at or below gross income limit
(no asset test). SPDAP provides the following benefits: up to $50 monthly premium subsidy, and
the ability to change your plan once a year outside
of Part C and Part D Open Enrollment.
Beneficiaries are not eligible for SPDAP if they
receive full Extra Help – see below.
