Being a participant in the Grandparents Support Group, sponsored by the Carroll
County Department of Aging, has been a very rewarding experience to myself,
since I’ve been raising my granddaughter for the past five years. It has given me the
opportunity to meet and share my thoughts and feelings with other grandparents,
who are in the same situation as me, while in a safe and private environment. We
offer each other support with issues we are facing while raising our grandchildren
during what we thought would be our “Golden Years”. It really helps to know that
I’m not alone in this journey.
