Rosie9s personality grew just as fast
as she did, and it became apparent
very quickly that she was a li琀琀le diva.
During feedings she would oven
scoot herself out of her mommy roll,
grabbing and clinging }ghtly to her
caregiver9s thumb. The li琀琀le bat
grew and grew un}l one evening,
Natalie heard a 昀氀apping sound coming from the incubator. She was
overjoyed to look over and see li琀琀le
Rosie 昀氀apping around, learning how
to use her wings! She has now been
reunited with her original colony in
the fruit bat enclosure.

Just a few weeks aver the rescue of the short-tailed fruit bats, sta昀昀 member Natalie was cleaning the quaran}ne enclosure, where the expec}ng mothers were
roos}ng, and came upon a sweet li琀琀le abandoned pup curled up on the padded
昀氀oor. Unfortunately, stress will some}mes cause mother bats to reluctantly abandon their young.
