Engine
Jim trusted Lee Severt at Dixie Dyno of McDonough, GA with the
engine building duties. They started out with a very early (November
1957) casting number 348. From there it was bored and stroked out to
443 cubic inches. The internals consist of Ross Racing Pistons, a
SCAT 4" crankshaft and SCAT I-Beam Connecting Rods with Total Seal
Piston rings. The Heads and Valves came from Edelbrock, it uses a
Bullet Racing 4/7 Swap Camshaft and then Comp Cams supplied the
Hydraulic lifters and conical valve springs. The intake is a stock
Chevrolet dual quad setup which is topped off with Holley Sniper throttle
bodies. An MSD System was used for the ignition and everything is
held together with ARP fasteners.
