Association CEO Index 2024
Individual Index Bands
The majority of CEOs feel they are making progress but have room for
improvement.
The scores on the previous page (p.10) show the average of all responses for all respondents across five
categories – career satisfaction, workplace wellbeing, membership management, advocacy effectiveness
and innovation. Index scores for individual respondents have also been calculated, to give an indication of
how many CEOs assess their satisfaction and performance across those five categories in the high,
moderate and low brackets.
The majority of CEO scores fall within the ‘moderate’ range of 50-74 points. A further 29% of scores were
in the high performing range of 75-99.
Only 10% of CEOs reported scores in the low range of 25-49, while no respondent averaged less than 24
points across the range of index statements.
This indicates the majority of CEOs feel that they, and their organisations, are performing well, albeit with
some room for improvement.
