Association innovation index
CEOs of associations express confidence in the innovation and strategic
planning capacity of their organisation.
A majority of CEOs believe their associations possess
the right skills and knowledge to innovate, with 71%
agreeing it is the case at their own organisation.
Industry associations report a slightly lower
confidence level at 65%, compared to 80% for hybrid
associations.
effectively for the future, with younger CEOs showing
the highest confidence (95%). Conversely, only 78% of
those with less than two staff agree they have the
capacity to think strategically and plan for the future.
Lastly, 73% of CEOs believe their association is wellpositioned to meet future needs, rising to 85% of male
CEOs (and compared to 63% of females). Similarly,
82% of those with between 11-and 20-years’
experience are confident about their positioning for
the future, compared to only 58% of those new to
the sector.
Associations with between 101 and 1,000 exhibit the
highest confidence, with 86% in agreement they have
the right skills and knowledge to innovate.
In terms of strategic foresight, 86% of CEOs feel their
associations are forward-thinking and planning
