MAKE ROOM
WITH THE PINK TEA KETTLE
Have you ever just sat and looked at your closet in your bedroom and thought, “
I have way too many clothes and shoes, this closet is an absolute mess!” Or what
about those days when your looking at your schedule that always seems to stay
so hectic that you can barely catch a break? You feel like life is just passing you
right on by? Well I’m here to tell you that it’s time to, “make room.”
Consider how Noah felt the moment when God came to him and said, “ I need
you to build an ark with three floors and many rooms not only just for your family,
but for his animals.” You see God planned to send a huge flood to destroy the
world and even though he couldn’t understand or quiet comprehend what was
going to transpire he did exactly what God told him to do! This almost looks
familiar with Covid-19 going right? Just as God promised then came this huge
flood that would kill many, and that it did. Noah had to, “make room” for this
flood, and because he was obedient God blessed him and allowed them to live
and go forth to multiply. So even when it’s hard and we don’t understand we still
have to “make room” for what’s to come. I truly believe that it’s hard when things
seem impossible, when they are in fact POSSIBLE!
Making room requires obedience and sometimes quiet moments with very minimal
distractions. Making room can also look and feel like many things, emptiness,
sadness and even loneliness or set a part from others ( ISOLATION) right? To
receive what God is trying to tell you, it requires careful attention and action to
what he wants us to get. How can God use you and bless you with more if there’s
no room for you to receive it? How can he bring new friends and relationships in
your life if you are clinging to toxic friendships and relationships with other people
who constantly hurt you and use you for what you have and who you know? How
can he bless you with that job you’ve been praying for when you haven’t cleared
your desk, or If you haven’t even applied for the job? You have to, “make room.”
But how?
Who said making room would be easy? Anything that’s worth having requires
some work and hardship right, but more so takes time? Sometimes in life we want
things in our time. We rush and in the end we end up feeling unsatisfied and upset
because we weren’t patient. Put it this way have you ever prayed for something,
and I mean something you whole heartedly wanted God to do and when it
doesn’t happen we react to the first option that’s given because we are impatient?
Whatever God has promised you just know it’s going to happen..He will deliver, he
will give you the desires of your heart, you just have to make room for it.
