sanctions by the Police Service and disciplinary action by the City Grand Chapter; there will be no more 'looking
the other way' and any Sir Knight found to be proven in contravention of these instructions will be dealt with in
accordance with Civil Law and the Rules of the Institution.
a) At the request of the PSNI all Preceptorys are reminded that it is illegal to carry alcohol on your buses and
any Preceptory found to be in contravention will be dealt with under Civil Law.
b) Everyone who is fit and able must complete all stages of this traditional Celebratory Day and UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCE can any Preceptory or Band fail to complete these. All Districts and Preceptorys MUST pass
through the City Grand Chapter Colours UNLESS prior written permission has been sought and granted.
c) Buses are only to park at the official Bus Waiting Area. Only sanctioned private transport will be allowed upon
application and receipt of the required documentation.
d) Bands and Preceptorys are not to parade at any stage without the submission of a completed 11/1 proforma to
the PSNI.
e) All Sir Knights and Band personnel must use proper toilet public facilities located at Dromore Orange Hall and
Ferris Park along with the various establishments along the route; failure to do so may result in appropriate
action by the Police.
f) Worshipful Masters will be held accountable for the actions of Sir Knights and Bands under their jurisdiction.
g) District Masters are the agreed and nominated Bus Marshals and are accountable for this possibly most
important part of the Demonstration. Please liaise with each other. When this goes wrong, it ALL goes wrong!
h) The Deputy City Grand Registrar and Chief Marshal will account for all Preceptorys attending the Drumhead
Service and leaving the Field on the return Parade. List of attendees will be provided.
i) District Chapters will provide Bus Marking Cards for all their Preceptorys and these are to be placed at the
front, off side and rear windows of their buses; and are to be clear and legible.
j) District Registrars are to organise their own District 11/1 forms for all phases in Belfast up to and including
the assembly/departure.
k) District Registrars are to complete the proforma relating to the Day and return this without fail, to the Grand
Registrar at the Business Meeting on 2nd April.
8. CONCLUSION:- This Order of the Day will allow District Chapters to make their own plans in conjunction with
the other Districts for the successful outcome of the ‘Last Saturday’ 2020. Amendments and any change to this
instruction will as necessary.
