ALL TOO TRUE … This
well-meaning quote
(reproduced below) from last year, was undoubtedly true
and to the point, as more and more esoteric behind-back
deals, hidden promises, letters of comfort and
surreptitious secret arrangements between governments
and terrorists during the dirty little, sordid war that was
so-called 'The Troubles', were unearthed and revealed
day and daily both in the media and through the cashbenefitting autobiographies by well-funded agents and
spies .. one thing's for sure, there's still more lies to be
outed and revealed in years to come!!
"… The actions of terrorists were/are wrong and entirely
unjust, as were any premeditated criminal actions committed
by others. Let us be clear, murdering your neighbour,
extorting from your neighbour unfairly, due to their religious
denomination or ethnicity was, and is, wrong. The ugly truth
is, that here in Northern Ireland and within this sick society of
which we are all a part, where some elements of the political
system are corrupt and leaderless; the criminal justice system
has been, and continues to be, manipulated and usurped; and
many of our churches have often been led by quasipoliticians, wedded to a fictitious peace process …."
And within the Loyal Orders we must never forget the
shameful spectacle when around a dozen MLA's,
members of the Loyal Orange Institution openly
supported the nomination of a Sinn Feiner for the role of
Speaker at Stormont, to the detriment of a fellow Unionist
nominee, who is himself a member of the Order.
'Protestantism,
intellectual and
spiritual, the
Protestantism of
the Reformation,
of the Puritans;
the genuine
Protestantism of
the Covenant, is the
only thing under
Heaven that can
save us from a
return to the days
of Charles or
James II.'
