The 75th anniversary will provide our
nation, and our friends around the world, with
an opportunity to reflect on the enormous
sacrifice, courage and determination of
people from all walks of life who saw us
through that dark and terrifying period.
It will be another chance for us all to
remember the enormous sacrifices that
were made both at home and abroad and
to joyously celebrate as people did those

THE LORD CAN EMPATHISE
WITH THE VICTIMS OF WAR …..
It can be truthfully said that every nation must
go through a test that will either strengthen or
dishearten those who come after. Even our
Lord experienced the pain and heartache of
war and battle well before anyone else; where
we read in Revelation Chapter 12: Verses 7-9
that ..‘war broke out in heaven. In the event
Michael, (one of the chief princes) and his
angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and
prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great
dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him’.
So, God can personally empathise with the
resultant death and sadness that is involved
with any war. When the nation of Israel chose
to live by the sword and suffer by it, God at
certain times and places, gave extraordinary
strength to those who defended His chosen
nation.
