PUTTING THE FUN
BACK IN FUNDRAISING
Kanesville Elementary | Utah
For four years, Kanesville Elementary School has looked to Booster to help them raise funds to improve
their school campus and experiences for their students. With overwhelming support from parents and
the community, the Kanesville Cougars raised a whopping $49,354.52 this past school year.
A portion of the earned profit went to purchasing large playground equipment for younger grades. In addition,
the money was used for field trips, community nights, spirit treats, and even an outdoor movie night.
According to PTA President Karly Leishman, Kanesville continues to choose Booster year after year because
of the financial results, excellent service, character program, and donor flexibility. She said, “I love that you
can ask people from all over the world to pledge, and they can pledge whatever amount they are financially
able to do.”

Florence Elementary | Texas
For Principal Jacque Hughes, the success of Florence Elementary’s annual Boosterthon Fun Run was both
professional and personal.
It was the school’s third year working with Booster and Principal Jacque Hughes knew it would have unique
challenges. She said, “We were building a new school so we were more limited on space and how to make the
activiities work.”
The Boosterthon team set in motion a flexible plan that addressed logistical concerns while also protecting
students’ learning time. “They always meet those expectations,” said Principal Hughes. “They listen, they’re
available, and they care.”
Even when Principal Hughes received word her mother was facing a medical crisis, the Booster team worked
even harder to make the fundraiser a success in her absence, sending flowers and a note to let her know
they were thinking of her while she was away. “The team showed me they want to make a difference
in the lives of all the people they serve,” said Principal Hughes.
Thanks to the immense support from families and the community, the school profited $43,000, which will
be used to fund seating at their outdoor art garden.
