Pearson’s Corner Elementary | Virginia
Pearson’s Corner Elementary fully embraces their vast campus grounds, which are covered in brightly colored
outdoor mosaics, and staff frequently incorporate outdoor learning into their lessons. Principal Dawn Armstrong
looked to Booster Events again this year to help raise funds to ensure safety and comfort for these outdoor
learning experiences.
She also knows the value of pairing events with great gear. For four years, Pearson’s Corner has purchased t-shirts
from Booster Gear for students and staff to wear at their Booster fundraisers. Mrs. Armstrong worked with a
Booster Graphic Designer to create these unique shirts with a meaningful logo embracing current events in the
world and at their school.
Pearson’s Corner collected $4,000 in donations from sponsors, which allowed the school to offer these t-shirts for
free. The shirts have resurfaced at other school events and field trips too. “I’m really thankful to see kids continue
to wear them. It provides extra advertising for our sponsors too,” says Dawn.

SCHOOL EXPANSION

Glenwood Academy | Maryland
Glenwood Academy isn’t your typical school—they have a specific mission to help students with learning
differences succeed in an educational setting. With 52 students and growing, Glenwood wanted a fundraiser
that would allow them to keep up with school expansion without sacrificing quality education.
Teacher Jeff Townsend didn’t have to look far. Previous experiences taught him the Booster Tech donation
platform is the best option for school fundraising. Glenwood set their fundraising goal for $20,000 but
exceeded it at $38,000.
For Jeff, it was the student involvement and ownership that set this fundraiser apart. Glenwood students
went all in on their Booster Tech experience making videos, writing letters, and competing with other
classes to raise money. Jeff saw the fundraising experience expand over multiple subjects and have
a positive impact on their school community. “I think it really brought us together,” says Jeff. And that’s
worth far more than money.
