Healthy Breakfast Chia Oat Bars
Serves: 16 / Prep Time: 10 mins / Total Time: 35 mins
These filling chia seed oat bars are a perfect "grab and go" breakfast item that will leave
you feeling full until lunch!

1 cup quick cook oats
1 cup rolled oats
2 tbsp chia seeds
11/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp melted butter
1 cup applesauce
1-2 tbsp honey or
maple syrup
In a medium bowl, mix the oats, chia seeds and cinnamon.
Add the melted butter and apple purée, mix to combine
Line a baking tray.
Press the mix into the bottom of the baking dish so that it
is an even layer, around 1.5-2cm thick.
5. Bake at 375°F for 25 mins, or until firm, not hard.
6. Cool and slice into squares.
Chia seeds are loaded with fibre, protein,
omega-3 fatty acids.5
