NEW STARTER INDUCTION
Yet another busy year with
new starters and a spring
back to how we run
inductions. We’ve returned to
in person inductions and my
absolute favourite ice breaker,
Human Bingo!
All virtual inductees were promised by Justin
that we’d provide the food and chat that
usually happens during the directors lunch
session. Never one to go back on his word,
Justin has now run 5 extra lunch sessions.
We’ve made each session shorter and
snappier, this still ensures the most popular
and commented on aspect of induction,
meeting people across the business, putting
faces to names. I love the feedback we
receive and improvement ideas as these are
what keep us pushing forward trying to get
the balance of the day just right.
Meeting fellow new colleagues, learning
through an overview of each department of
what they do and how they are connected
to the business, understanding more about
employee benefits and knowing who to
contact within People Services for different
queries.

The best part of induction for me is always
getting to know the new starters. This is my
first interaction with the new starters and
gives me the whole day to get to know them
and also the opportunity to enthuse and
share my love and passion for what
CAE do and stand for!
