In the contemporary
world, the advantages
of logistics are
numerous as it tends to
determine the overall
process of acquiring,
storing, and transporting goods. For us,
too, effective logistics
management has
helped make a lot of
difference by taking
into account numerous
ever-changing factors
to ensure sufficient
inventory at all times.
Just two to three years
back, we could not
even think of
increasing capacity by
even 50 per cent, nor
were we able to
increase capacity by
100-150 per cent on
short notices. Today,
due to breakthrough
improvements in the
overall methods and
operational
efficiencies, we remain
assured that in case
there is a sudden
demand jump or
requirement to accelerate production, our
warehouses can help
drive the capacity.
we are looking into and working
towards the same.

Modern logistics management

Importantly, efficient production
logistics enable a company to
operate with capital efficiency. For
us, too, effective logistics management has helped make a lot of

We are working with organisations that are flexible in
their approach to accommodate our requirements and
thereby, helping us keep pace
with demand and minimise
downtime
In our case, we have been able
to define the uniqueness of our
supply chain model and related
operations by giving this aspect
of functions to be handled by the
experts in the field. Majority of
our warehousing and distribution
activities have been outsourced
to third-party logistics service
providers. Due to this, we are able
to scale up production capabilities
as well as scale down operations
in line with business and market
requirements. We are working
with organisations, be it suppliers
or logistics service providers, who
are flexible in their approach to
accommodate our requirements
and thereby, helping us keep pace
with demand and minimise
downtime to the market.
Companies will have to
transform from the traditional towards a more digital
(omnichannel) business
model
During the pandemic, we have
learned very hard lessons and
some of them were in fact invaluable. Nobody had even thought
that these can actually bear
results. Undoubtedly, digitalisation is one of the key areas which
we cannot ignore. Companies
will need to find more and more
ways and means to ensure more
effectiveness, saving time and
cost. They will have to do this
transformation away from the
traditional and towards a more
digital (omnichannel) business
model. At Spykar, we are deploying technology-driven processes
and systems and further exploring more new opportunities.
We are working towards
ensuring we have a longer
lifetime for those, which like
the overarching concept of
the circular economy, has the
potential to drive economic
performance of enterprises
In the textile and apparel industry, monitoring and measuring
sustainability is little difficult
but overall, at the organisationlevel, we also are committed and
focussed on improving sustainability like many others. Within
our product line, we are working
towards ensuring we have a
longer lifetime for those, which
like the overarching concept of
the circular economy, has the
potential to generate value and
drive economic performance
of enterprises. Meanwhile, on
the consumption side, we are
trying to maximise reusable/
recyclable products. For local
logistical needs, we are already
deploying more and more electric
vehicles and for long distances
as well, we now prefer using
EVs. In the last few months, we
have worked out on a plan to
minimise the distance travelled
by end products.

However, we believe there are
still many processes and functions that can be enhanced and
made efficient and accordingly,
