The Ministry of Health
can introduce some single
window schemes for setting
up cold chain warehouses
for the pharma industry, in
line with what Ministry of
Food Processing Industries
did to bridge the gap in the
food sector.
W
hich industry sectors
do you see most benefitted from your solutions?
What external factors do
you see as driving demand
for your solutions going
forward?
Our solutions are designed to
suit all segments starting from
pharma, confectionary, seafood, quick-service restaurant,
ready-to-eat, dairy, fruits &
vegetables, and breweries.
While our current client profile mainly includes brands
from the food industry, but as
I mentioned earlier, we are in
advance discussions with
pharma players regarding offering of BTS solutions.
COVID-19, since the beginning of 2020, has forced
businesses to think differently
and there has been a huge
shift in demand for quality
organised players with a nationwide presence. This is
bound to give companies like
us a major boost.
H
ow are you managing
the perishables supply chain for e-commerce
companies?
Our large fleet of primary and
secondary vehicles is designed to offer temperatures
ranges from -25ºC to +25ºC, in
a way enabling us to align our
fleet to any demands, from
fresh to frozen.
We are presently serving
the country’s leading food aggregator e-commerce companies with transportation solutions from their production
units to distribution centers
and also to dark kitchens and
restaurants.
W
hat is your value proposition for pharma cold
chain operations specifically? What do pharmaceutical companies seek for
and their demands while
hiring a service provider like
Coldman?
Our core value proposition for
pharma is protecting the integrity of temperature-sensitive products, and monitoring
the ingredients from supplier
to end consumer and building
a clear line of sight for them at
every stage. Pharma logistics
requires high-quality infrastructure, technology and
skill sets to handle operations
due to stringent compliance
norms, standards, and regulations. Our team has the necessary expertise and experience
in handling such highly-critical products, having developed sensitivity to patterns of
meaningful information.
Companies often look for
customised solutions through
strategy alignment from beginning of the relationship
until closure– to conceptualising, designing and offering
BTS solutions, incorporating
delta for flexibility. This is
where we have a distinct edge
over other players who usually
deliver off-the-shelf solutions.
T
oday, when people are
talking of industry 4.0
and IoT, what is the impact
of technology invasion on
storage and cold supply
chain operations? What
about your innovative techdriven implementations to
run the business?
Technology is at the very core
of modern-day operations, especially for cold store warehousing where working conditions are even more challenging at sub-zero levels.
We provide real-time access
to our customers on inventory
and temperature visibility
through our business intelligence application. At our warehouses, we have implemented
fire alert and IoT-based integrated door security and monitoring system to ensure safety
and energy conservation.

Reportedly, the Centre has
also directed states to make a
robust plan for vaccine storage

As per sources, majority of
the vaccine candidate’s products which are under different
stages of development, require traditional cold chain

the capabilities of a company like Coldman to handle

not be facing any major challenge as sufficient infrastructure will be in place for both
storage and distribution within these temperature ranges.
Our cold storages and fleet
