on most instruments are available, including
guitar, voice, piano, drums, woodwinds, strings,
brass and more. Notes: No senior tuition
waiver. All levels welcome. Students meet
once a week for private lessons. Lessons are
consecutive unless otherwise arranged with

Aerial Imaging:
Drones for Visual Communication
This course introduces the fundamentals
of flight through small Unmanned Aerial
Systems (sUAS) for photography and video
production. The course prepares students
for FAA compliant flying with hands-on sUAS
practice and course content. Students will
apply professional aviation processes to create
still and video-based media using rotary-wing,
remote-controlled platforms provided during
class. Essential photography and video editing
topics will be addressed, in addition to sUAS
operations such as mission planning, airspace,
weather, and regulations Corresponds to credit

Basic Photography
Turn your creativity to the camera. Students will
learn elements of the digital camera, camera
handling, basic composition, and lighting.
Digital camera and inkjet printers will be used
in class for immediate feedback. An in-depth

Developing Your Vision
The key to taking better photographs is
less a matter of technique and more of that
intangible thing called “vision.” Learn how
to develop and refine your vision, create
compositions that have impact, exploit natural
light, capture the decisive moment, and

Digital Photography
This is a general overview course designed
to familiarize participants with the process
of digital photography. Learn how to use the
functions of a digital camera such as: shutter,
aperture, white balance, and ISO. You will start
to see through the lens of a camera. Learn how
to look at lighting, textures, and colors. Note:

Learn the art and craft of photography
through digital camera operation, and digital
print production. Creativity, craft, and visual
communication are used to teach: the use
of light, design concepts, and color theory.
Weekly lab assignments and class activities
culminate in a portfolio of fine black-and-white
and color photographs. Notes: College cameras
are available for student use. Corresponds to
