test with our school year Design Internship!
Interns will take on an aspect of the design
or management of the current YPTP show
and work as a team to bring their designs to

MUSIC LESSONS
Music Lessons
Discover your musical talent and learn to play
the music you have always loved! Lessons
on most instruments are available, including
guitar, voice, piano, drums, woodwinds, strings,
brass and more. Notes: No senior tuition
waiver. All levels welcome. Students meet
once a week for private lessons. Lessons
are consecutive unless otherwise arranged
with the instructor. Textbook required.

Piano I
The piano is found in nearly every genre of
music and has a rich heritage of versatility. Be
introduced to the foundations of playing this
wonderful instrument as you learn your favorite
songs with chords, scales, and melodies. Notes:

Piano II
Students will learn to perform a variety of
new songs using the musicianship acquired in
Piano I. In addition, students will be introduced
to scales, sight-reading, and further study
of music notation for the piano in order to
progress to higher-level pieces for the piano.

Places Everyone: The Ransom of Emily Jane
When the town gossips learn that
rambunctious little Emily Jane Dorset has
been kidnapped, they dutifully murmur, “Poor
little tyke,” and then go on to rejoice in the
unaccustomed peace and quiet her absence
brings. Meanwhile, the “poor little tyke” is
having the time of her life terrorizing her mildmannered, inexperienced kidnappers, whose
ransom demands grow smaller and smaller
as Emily Jane’s pranks grow wilder and wilder.
Eventually, a most unusual bargain is struck,
and Emily Jane is returned to the reluctant
arms of her father. This clever adaptation of
a comedy classic is suited to audiences of all
ages. Notes: Ages 7-17. Performance dates TBD.

Play Reading Club
Play Reading Club is back! We’ll bring the
scripts - you bring your craziest accents, your
biggest character choices, and your unbridled
enthusiasm. Some scripts will be awesome.
Some will be downright bizarre. And some will
manage to be so epically bad that they are in
fact stupendous. Grab a snack and settle in - it’s
time to read some plays! Notes: Each date is
an individual session, and we’ll be reading a
different play each day. Students are welcome
to sign up for as many or as few sessions as
