CFAAC COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAMS
CFAAC distributed nearly $4 million dollars
in community grants last year to a variety of
nonprofit organizations. The following
focused community grant programs help to
fund programs or initiatives that make Anne
Arundel County a great place to live for all.
ARTS AND CULTURE ANNE ARUNDEL FUND
The Arts and Culture Anne Arundel Fund, a
Field of Interest Fund, was created to
enhance the vibrancy and creativity of Anne
Arundel County. Grants are used to provide
access and opportunities for economically
challenged individuals and families to
experience and/or participate in visual, fine,
decorative, and folk arts as well as literature
and language programs.
COMMUNITY CRISIS RESPONSE FUND
The Community Crisis Response Fund was
established to provide flexible financial
assistance to Anne Arundel County
nonprofits immediately following a violent
incident, natural disaster, or other crisis in
our community. In 2021, grants were
awarded to nonprofit organizations that

provide human services and emergency
assistance, as well as health/mental health
and educational resources. Also included was
funding for advocacy and/or community
organizing projects focused on improving
systems for food security, violence
prevention, medical care access, childcare,
and education.
ENVIRONMENT ANNE ARUNDEL FUND
The Environment Anne Arundel Fund
supports Anne Arundel County nonprofit
organizations working to protect and
improve the environment in Anne Arundel
County and the Chesapeake Bay. Grants
support projects that improve and green
communities, address environmental issues
such as stormwater, and/or increase student
awareness and involvement in the
restoration and protection of the Chesapeake
Bay, local streams and rivers, and other
natural areas.
