smaller groups with larger is the norm. Have we become a nation that
needs to be entertained solely from a seating position with no effort or
input involved?
Tangential issues. It is difficult enough attracting volunteer Trustees to be
involved in village halls but doubly difficult when all you do is geared
around managing a building used by individuals and organisations you
never get to meet or see only once.
Answers. All gratefully anticipated and why not respond in the Village
Newsletter? The revised date for the postponed Hall AGMs is 20th July at

EVENTS IN JUNE
Crockham Hill WI - Next Meeting Wednesday 1st June
June Davies
At our AGM in May we combined the election of our 2022/2023 president
and committee with a lively discussion on this year’s National WI resolution
to improve the research, diagnosis, and support for Women and Girls with
ASD and ADHD.
At election, we gave grateful thanks to Jane Turtle and Dee Gutteridge, for
all their valuable contributions to the work of the committee, as they stood
down at the end of this year. June Davies was re-elected as president and
the elected committee members are Mette Breminer, Susan Cash, Felicity
Crowe, Angie Hiles, Shelagh May, Carol Moore, Judy Newton, Gill Roberts,
Kate Rogers, and Susan Siddell
Later, members generously contributed a range of toiletry items towards
the emergency packs that DAVSS (Domestic Support Volunteer Support
Services) organises for local refuges. And of course, we ended our thoughtprovoking and convivial afternoon with a delicious homemade tea!
