The Dude may have had his White Russian, but we’re going to ramp it up with this
recipe for what we’re calling a Doctor Zhivago. This recipe calls for equal parts vodka
and coffee liqueur which gives a nice boost to the coffee flavor. To us, that’s a good
enough excuse to serve it with Sunday morning brunch.
LIST of INGREDIENTS
method of crafting
1. Pour the vodka and coffee liqueur into a
glass filled with ice.
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce coffee liqueur
2 ounces cream (or milk)
2 ounces Dr. Pepper
2. Top off with equal amounts of cream (or
milk) and Dr. Pepper.
3. Stir well and enjoy!
notes and tips
Beware of the fizz. If you’ve ever made a root beer float, you’ll remember that soda and
cream create a lot of fizz. Avoid a big mess by pouring the soda slowly. Better yet, pour the
cream, then pick up and tilt the glass while pouring the soda.
