The sum of our employees’ knowledge makes up a very significant proportion of Horten’s value. It is therefore essential that we have a
working environment where security and learning go hand in hand with health promoting and social activities. Strong job satisfaction
must ensure a sustainable working life, where everyone can fulfil their potential.
Our aim is:
Initiatives in 2022:
• To have a culture where everyone
develops professionally and
personally, in line with their
aspirations, experience and life
situation.
• To develop strategic, inquisitive
advisors who understand our clients’
business.
• To promote well-being and health
through inclusive leadership, good
teamwork and concrete health
promoting initiatives.
• Metacognitive mental training offered
to all employees.
• Longer parental leave for men and
co-parents in order to provide gender
equality.
• Parental leave network for all
employees regardless of gender, who
are commencing, currently on, or
returning from parental leave.
• Presentation on unconscious bias for
Horten’s Board of Directors and
management.
• Presentation to the partner group on
inclusive leadership for different
generations.
• ‘Director’ as a new title for lawyers,
with the aim in part of creating a
training path prior to a possible
partner role.
• Development of our buddy scheme
for new assistant attorneys, to
support psychological well-being
from the start of their career.
• Training the HR department to make
the language in job advertisements
neutral, to avoid biased language
regarding gender, background, etc.
In 2023 we will support our aims
through the following planned
initiatives:
• A new digital tool for employee
engagement surveys and regular pulse
surveys, in order to gain a larger data
basis upon which to organise
management and inclusion efforts.
• More career and development
interviews, to ensure that our
employees have the conditions they
need to develop, and to have a private
life matched to their life situation and
aspirations.
• A structured model for balancing
expectations and developing
attorneys that can fine tune the
recruitment and review processes.
