SCOPE 3 EMISSIONS
Scope 3 emissions represent a multifaceted set of
categories, with the highest contributing factors being 'Purchased Goods and Services' and 'Upstream
Transportation.' 'Purchased Goods and Services'
accounted for a substantial 843 tonnes of CO2eq
emissions, re昀氀ecting the vast range of products procured and the energy-intensive processing methods
involved in their manufacture.
'Upstream Transportation' was responsible for 571
tonnes of CO2eq emissions, encompassing the
transportation of materials and goods sourced lo-
cally and internationally. Importantly, having higher emissions in Scope 3 than in direct emissions
(Scope 1 and 2) is a common phenomenon in many
organisations. It underscores the signi昀椀cance of
addressing emissions across the entire supply chain
and procurement activities.
This comprehensive approach is a testament to
STEFFCA's unwavering commitment to minimizing
its environmental impact and its continued efforts
to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It is rooted
in the company's core values of sustainability and
responsibility.
