PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
Cross streets at crosswalks or intersections. Look for
cars in all directions, including those turning left or
right.
Pay special attention to area of limited site lines
from brush, corners, angles of the sun and visibility
due to inclamental weather (rain or snow).
Watch for cars entering or exiting driveways, or
backing up in parking lots.
Watch for 4wheelers and dirtbikes, which often
utilize roadside trails. Move to the side on corners,
where a driver might not see you.
Avoid alcohol and drugs when walking; they impair
your abilities and your judgment.
Wear visible, bright clothing, especially at night.
