The "tessie"Award
This award is given in memory of DDF dancer Tess Burstein, who danced her way
into the hearts of everyone she met, both in the dance studio and beyond. The
"tessie" is awarded annually to the dancer who consistently demonstrates
enthusiasm, a love of dance, a positive attitude, leadership in the classroom,
consideration for his or her fellow dancers and an ever-present smile.
