Lesson Procedure - Shape Recognition
Open the Workbook to the Shape Cards (page 55).
Activity 1 – Circle
• Draw a circle on the board.
• Point to the circle. Tell students to carefully remove the Circle Shape Card.
• Ask them what shape it is. Say: circle.
• Tell students to hold up the Circle Shape Card.
• Say: Put the circle on the table.
Activity 2 – Line
• Draw a line on the board.
• Point to the line. Tell students to carefully remove the Line Shape Card.
• Ask them what shape it is. Say: line.
• Tell students to hold up the Line Shape Card.
• Say: Put the line on the table.
Activity 3 – S Shape
• Repeat for the shape of S.
Activity 4 – Hook Shape
• Repeat for the shape of Hook
Activity 5 – Half Circle
• Repeat for the shape of Half Circle.
