• Have students come up and draw a line from each small letter to each big letter.
ABC Poster and Song
• Point to each of the above letters on the ABC poster.
• Sing the ABC Song (track 7). Do the actions for the letters they have learned.

Open the Workbook to page 29.

• Beside each small letter, tell students to write the correct big letter.
Activity 2
• Below each picture write the first letter of the word. (1. a, 2. b, 3. c, 4. d, 5. e, 6.
p, 7. q, 8. o, 9. e)
Activity 3
• Tell students to write the correct small letter beside each big letter.

Game: Identifying Letters by Name and by Sound.

Give each student a blank page (half the size of an A4 sheet).
Instruct students to write their name at the top of the page. (see page 38)
Have students write the numbers 1 - 8 down the left hand side of the page.
Call out: 1. ‘C’. Students write the letter ‘C’ next to the number 1.
Continue with numbers 2 to 8. Students must write the correct letter next to the
number called out.
