Open the Workbook to page 31.
Activity 1
• Have students take out their plasticine. Have them roll small logs to cover the ‘T’s at
the top of the page.
• Have students color the letters at the top of the page, following the direction of the
arrows.
Activity 2
• Draw a small ‘t’ on the Letter House poster.
• Ask students where small ‘t’ lives. (on the top floor and in the middle of the house)
• Draw a big ‘T’ on the Letter House poster.
• Ask where big ‘T’ lives. (on the top floor and in the middle of the house)
• Have students write a row of ‘Tt’s. As students write each letter they make the sound
/t/.
Activity 3
• Circle the letters that are the same as the first letter in each row.
Activity 4
• Look at the pictures.
• Ask what each picture shows. Say the word written below each picture: table,
telephone, taxi, ten.
• Have students repeat the words after you.
• Say: Circle the letters ‘T’ and 't’.
• Now ask them, what other letters they know in these words.
• Have students trace the letters they know.
• Ask what letters are in the word ‘taxi’. (Students know all of these letters and can now
read the word.)
