Grievance Procedure
The Lewis & Clark Montessori Grievance Procedure
is designed to provide clarity regarding lines of communication, as
well as a formal method of resolving disputes. The school welcomes
productive problem solving and opportunities to improve.
The Grievance Procedure may be initiated at any time. Most concerns can be addressed with the first step: Informal Complaint.
However, further steps may be initiated after good-faith direct communication between disputing parties has failed to resolve a concern
regarding an incident that occurred at school or during a school sponsored activity.
Parents, students, or employees are encouraged to use further steps
only after fully attempting direct communication with the party or
parties involved.
It is essential to note that personal attacks
on staff members will not be tolerated.
When addressing a problem at Lewis & Clark Montessori, please be
courteous and respectful. Good problem solving occurs when all parties are focused on resolving the issue rather than on the personalities
involved.
