What is the best part
about competing?
That rush you get when you
are in the lead or close to
the lead.
What has been the best
shot of your career
so far?
GET T ING T O K NO W
LOUIS IN U ND E R
60 S E C O NDS
If you weren’t a golfer, what would you be?
A singer (laughs).
Favourite movie of all time?
Shawshank Redemption.
What’s your favourite 2017 jam?
I listen to everything.
What do you always have in your refrigerator?
Louis 57 Lager, of course…
What can’t you live without?
My family.
Favourite Mauritian dish?
Dholl Puri is very nice… stuffed with the various bean curries,
atchar and chutney, all makes for a very nice combination.
Three things you love most about Mauritius?
The warm, sunny weather, the fantastic beaches and it being
family friendly.
The 4 iron second shot
on the second hole at the
Masters for a Double Eagle
on the par 5, which was also
just as good as my hole-inone on the 16th at Augusta.
Two very special shots.
How do you define
success?
I would say that success is
when you can afford to live a
balanced life, which is equally
divided between family,
personal and work.
Which mistake have
you learnt from
the most?
Never hit the next shot if you
are still complaining about
the previous one.
Finally, what’s your
favourite hole on the
Heritage Golf Club?
No. 18 – although it is a
short-ish par 5 according to
today’s standards, it is still
a tough drive with strong
crosswinds blowing. And
the second shot is risk and
reward with the water on
the left. That’s a very nice
finishing hole where a big
swing can happen if you take
the risk.
