Alzheimers Disease
Vascular Dementia – caused by reduction in oxygen supply to the brain
Mixture dementia - a mix of both Alzheimers and vascular are common
Dementia with Lewy bodies – caused by disruption to the brain’s chemistry.
Doesn’t effect short term memory in the same way as others, more about
judging distances and hallucinations. Often Linked to Parkinsons.
Frontotemporal dementia (including Picks Disease) This may show as changes in
