opportunity to take a parallel class virtually
from the comfort of their home. Please

DANCE
UPPER BALLET SCHOOL
Intermediate marks the start of pointe* classes for
dancers as well as increased study of pirouettes, adagio,
and allegro. Training for advanced students continues its
focus on alignment and proper technique while preparing
students for pre-professional and professional training
options.
Note: the Upper ballet program classes will take place at
the HCA Performance Space (at least through 2020 to
allow for greater distancing) This program is based on a
36-week academic year calendar. Placement in this class
is required for all new students.
Registration for these classes WILL ONLY INVOLVE A
DEPOSIT AT THIS TIME to hold a dancer’s spot in the
class (limit 12 students per class). Once a student’s full
weekly class schedule is settled based on their registrations (no later than September), the final tuition will be
determined relative to the total number of class hours
registered per week. Payment installment plans are available. For more information, inquire with the HCA at info@

Both Intermediate and Advanced students are introduced
to the world of classical ballet repertory as well as contemporary movement and improvisation through a weekly
contemporary class. Intermediate and advanced students
are also exposed to historical dance, character dance,
modern, jazz, Pilates, and Alexander Technique by weekly
classes, workshops, or master classes.
Students will be placed en pointe when the faculty deems
the student ready. Health and safety are a priority with
a goal to help students dance injury free for a lifetime.
Students must be training a minimum of three days each
week to be placed en pointe.
