Seeking to expand horizons
“I have found at Innodev the enthusiasm to expand our horizons particularly engaging;
this includes seeking different models of engagement or work that broadens our technical
competency. Where some organisations are fixated on replicating a past formula for
success, there seems to be a culture of seeking innovation and acceptance of the risks and
opportunities which that brings. Learning and applying new concepts and technologies is
one of the best things about working in IT and it is fantastic to see this is wholeheartedly
encouraged here.”
Courage
“I was asked to provide tactical change management services for a client, but upon arriving
on site I found that the project was nowhere near ready to kick off its change program. It
was also missing some of the fundamental program management basics that would have
been required to make this program a success. It took a great amount of courage to go
to the program sponsor and point out all the areas that required improvement, especially
considering the sponsor believed some of these measures were already in place. The
recommendations provided were taken on board and the structure of the project changed in
response to these recommendations.”
Success Breeds Success
“In my first week at Innodev, I delivered a training course to an IT consultancy firm, which
other companies may have been reluctant to do. We leveraged excellent feedback from the
training and gave ourselves a platform for further work. We have put forward the first iteration
of additional services, which will require the involvement of several additional Innodev people.
Having earned their trust, we’ve been asked to critique one of their client proposals and be
part of the solution.”
Embracing new ways of working
“Based on the trust I have built with my client, I was asked to propose a new way of delivering
complex projects. A strong desire to partner with an organisation like Innodev was expressed
to go beyond individuals and CVs. The approach we put forward was to begin with a period of
discovery, followed by hypothesis-driven experimentation. This is a new style of engagement
for Innodev and I’m excited about what the future holds for us.”
We’re taking off!
