Vision
“A few years ago, we realised there was a gap in the SA market when it came to business
process automation. After initial research, we decided to become partners with one of
the world leaders in this space - Appian. A consultant was sent to conduct the training
and within a couple of months we landed our first Appian project. Other consultants
got on board and self-trained in-house at Innodev. It’s been about four years since the
partnership commenced and we have a strong Appian practice and have successfully
implemented projects with several clients.”
Something different
“I have always been in companies with well-established office administration and executive
support teams, which at times were quite redundant. It’s something very different to be
part of a smaller company during an exciting and innovative growth phase, in which
my role is to establish and promote these core functionalities from ground level. It’s so
refreshing to have the brain switched on and encouraged to be innovative and agile!”
Taking a leap of faith
“I requested training and certification in an area that may not have made sense with
regards to the work that I was doing. I outlined to Tim what the benefits would be and how
I saw that it could open a new area of the market for us. Tim approved the training and has
recruited another two staff members with the same certification. This is something that we
can now build upon as a capability in our organisation.”
Commitment to staff training
“In my first week in Innodev, I had the opportunity to attend Innodev’s Agile Workshop.
I was glad that the commitment was made by Innodev to bring Alistair to Adelaide and
train the staff, especially bringing all billable consultants in from client sites and upskilling
them. The two-day workshop helped me to meet staff members and the teamwork and
discussion was encouraging. It also made me realise that Tim is focusing on long-term
goals and Innodev is a much better company for employees as a result.”
