Bringing cutting edge technologies
“I have been researching new methods to improve user experience and save customers’
time. One proposed initiative was to use face recognition to log customers onto their
accounts by using digital stations in stores. Also, another initiative is to bring virtual reality
to the stores, allowing customers to use their mobile phone to discover products, follow
clues and see advertisements.”
Provide excellent support
“We were developing a website for a client which included training about the CMS and
how to add content. As the new admins of the website did not have much of a technical
background, we decided to record a series of videos for them so they could see step-bystep how to use the new software. Our client was extremely impressed with the level of
detail and commitment to providing excellent customer support.”
Futurism
“In a very short timeframe, both the Chairman and CEO of Innodev have matured a
partnership opportunity with a drone company. This has rapidly developed into a client
engagement where we are facilitating Ideation between the drone company and the client.
This is a new offering and a new client, allowing us to spread our messaging and give
our developers the ability to experiment in imaging and machine learning. To be different
requires the energy of many hands and is the culture of the future.”
Thinking outside ‘the box’
“I joined a project team as a test lead and the sole testing resource. Upon initial
engagement, the project was deemed reasonably low risk with low complexity. By asking
challenging questions, applying a general user’s perspective, identifying issues early,
and using experience gained from previous testing engagements, more risks could be
identified. This lead to more ‘edge cases’ being uncovered and changed the perspective
of the project team.
The project was no longer considered ‘easy’ and project team members began to apply
more critical thought during workshops and risk assessments. The early identification of
potential issues lead to the project team being better prepared moving into future stages
of the project. Often, asking challenging questions is all that is required to change the
mindset of a team.”
