Terms and Conditions: This sale is conducted under the standard
terms and conditions adopted by the American Simmental
Association. If you have any questions, please contact us. In no
instance shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase
price of the animal.
Registration Papers: Registration papers will be provided upon
request to those who want them. Please let them know in the sale
office.
Volume Discounts:
• 3% off on 3 Bulls, 4% off on 4 Bulls, 5% off on 5 or more bulls.
Delivery and Feeding Arrangements:
• We will deliver BULLS for free within ND and to SD, MT and
MN. Beyond that area, the charge to the buyers, will be for
delivery or for arrangements made for delivery, at cost.
• We will continue to work with customers to facilitate or work with
you on arrangements to deliver bulls to their new homes or to a
nearby central location.
• Bulls will be boarded for free until end of April.
• If we board bulls, they will be semen tested prior to delivery.
• The bulls that we are asked to keep and feed, will be put in with
our bulls and cared for in the same manner we care for our own.
• We do not have free delivery on heifers. Heifers can be taken
home day of sale or we will help facilitate arrangements for
delivery to their new homes within one week after the sale.
Insurance: We are not responsible for accidents involving
purchased animals that stay at the ranch; therefore, we encourage
you to insure your purchases. There will be insurance available
through the office on sale day through Martin-Trudeau Insurance,
contact Ray Trudeau at 605-770-5170.
Feeding Program: These cattle have had no creep feed. They
were weaned onto a high roughage diet. The starting diet
consisted of chopped hay and corn silage. Then we slowly added
rolled corn and distillers grain to their ration. They have been on
a TMR ration which includes Hubbard’s Blueprint supplement,
consisting of chelated minerals and vitamins. Hubbard tests all
of our feed samples and their nutritionist offers balanced ration
recommendations. We slowly step them up on a ration designed
for bull and heifer development.
Health: All animals have been vaccinated multiple times with
Clostridial vaccines, modified live and killed multivalent viral
vaccines, Haemophilus somnus, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma
bovis. They were treated multiple times for internal and external
parasites. Our cow herd is annually monitored for Johne’s
disease and all new additions (heifers and bulls) are tested for
Mycobacterium avian paratuberculosis (Johne’s) and other
diseases as needed. Our whole herd (including all cull cows and all
bulls) was tested in 2023 and was negative for Johne’s.
Scrotal Circumference: Scrotal circumference and ultra sound
data information will be available sale day and, on our website,
kbhrsimmental.com, prior to the sale.
Announcements: Announcements made sale day from the auction
block during the sale, take precedence over printed material in the
catalog or other printed material associated with the sale.
