Curtis Allen - began his study of Kung Fu under Li Chi Keung in 1987 in Charlotte, NC. He currently studies under Master Mark Small and Master
Chris Facente. Sifu Curtis is honored to serve the Kung Fu community as a judge and give back to the art and the Kung Fu community that has
done so much to enrich his life.
WC Bey - was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He began studying martial arts at the age of 13 with a Judo Master. Under his instruction he
learned a Japanese Judo system. He later began studying Shao-Lin martial arts with Master Sigu-Ho at the age of 26. From Master Ho he
learned Northern Shao-Lin Long Fist. He continued his studies with the Senior Disciple of Sigu-Ho, Samaad Haaq of Montclair, New Jersey.
He studied Yin Fu Bagua under Dr. Xie Peiqi and currently studies Magua Bagua under Li Baohua. Sifu Bey was instructed to seek and further
his martial arts studies under the tutelage of Grand Master Dr. Steve L. Sun of the Siu Lum Martial Arts Academy in Havertown, PA. To further
his personal and educational goals he attended Robert Morris College in Pittsburg, PA. Later on, Sifu Bey transferred to Trenton State College,
graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration.
David Block - began his Martial Arts training in 1999 under Master Eric Sbarge at The Peaceful Dragon in Charlotte NC. Included in his training is
Tai Chi, Ba Gua, Hsing I, Kenpo, Shuai Jiao and Shaolin Kung Fu. He has competed in many tournaments, including the Kuo Shu tournament in
Baltimore, where he has gained much knowledge and many friends. As a certified instructor in the disciplines noted above, he has been teaching
students at his school, The Phoenix and Dragon in Weddington, NC since 2010.
Joseph Brendemuehl - started training in wing chun in 2004 in North Wales PA. He moved down to North Carolina and continue to train at Thundering Wave
Kung Fu after years of training his sifu moved to Washington state and turned the class over to him. He has continued to train with the Lai Tung Pai standing in
Chi Sao Na close range fighting ever since.
J.R. Brown - is a 66th generation Tien Shan Pai disciple and senior student of the late Master Joe Dunphy. Shi Fu J.R. Brown started his
journey in Tien Shan Pai in 1986 under his teacher Master Joe Dunphy and obtained the rank of 3rd degree Black sash. Currently, Shi-fu
J.R. Brown resides on the Board of Director, Assistant program director and instructor at the Tien Shan Pai Iron Fist Chinese Martial Arts
& Fitness (IFC Martial Arts). Shi Fu J.R. Brown helped establish IFC Martial Arts as a non profit organization and is instrumental to IFC’s
Operations and martial arts programs. He has been a practitioner of the martial arts for over 30 years. He supported the international Kuo
Shu Tournament as volunteer and competitor since 1994. Shi Fu J.R. Brown earned numerous medals in open hand forms, two person sets
and light contact fighting. Has coached both the US Martial Arts competition and Lei - Tai teams. He is also well known in the International Chinese Martial Arts
community for his many years of, judging and refereeing at the International Kuo Shu Championship Tournament Since 1999. He is USKSF Level B Certified
Judge, and TWKSF Certified Level B Referee.
Aimee Buckley - began studying Bok Fu Do in 1996 under Grandmaster Richard Lee. She is a third-degree black belt in Bok Fu Do and
holds her 3rd Tuan with the World Kuo Shu Federation. She is the current Deputy Referee General of the TWKSF, a certified International
Referee A & is a four-time World Tournament Executive Referee (2006, 2009, 2012 & 2015). She was a United States National team member
for the full contact Lei Tai competition and represented the US at the World Tournament in 2003 in Brazil. Mrs. Buckley credits her success
when working with special educations students, as a credentialed special education teacher, with lessons she has learned through kung fu.

Clarence Chan – began the study of martial arts at the age of 15, beginning with Seido Karate and Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu. Later, under the tutelage of SiFu
Ralph Mitchell at the Universal Defense System, Dr. Chan earned full instructorship in 1997. He continues to train and teach the UDS-JKD curriculum and training concepts including Jook Lum Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Muay Thai kick-boxing, Western Boxing, Doce Pares, Tai Chi, and Savate at the Universal Defense
System-NYC Chinatown branch. As a physiotherapist, Dr. Chan integrates both the Eastern and Western healing arts into his clinical practice. “Treat like you Train
& Train like you Treat”, Therapy is Self Defense.
Gabe Chang - is the first disciple of Master Joe Dunphy and 66th generation of Tien Shan Pai. Shi-Fu Chang has been training in the style
since 1997, and holds a 3rd degree black sash under Master Dunphy, and a 4th Tuan with The World Kuo Shu Federation. He is a multiple
medalist in Xing Yi Quan in international competition, studied and reached skillful proficiency in external kung fu styles - Tien Shan Pai,
Northern Shaolin, Ba Chi, Praying Mantis, Sun Pin and internal styles – Xing Yi, Ba Qua, Tai Chi, meditation. Shi Fu Chang has received
the Tien Shan Pai Spirit Award, Tien Shan Pai Instructor of the Year Award (2018), multiple certificates of Official Citation from the Senate of
the State of Maryland for Kuo Shu, as well as certification of Senior Instructor from International Tien Shan Pai Association. Shi-Fu Chang
is a Certified Judge - Level A, and Certified International Referee - Level A at the United States Kuo Shu Federation.
Joe Conway - got his black belt in full contact Nippon Kenpo Karate from Sensei Gogi Kinuya who brought the art from Japan to
the U.S. He then transitioned to Wing Chun under Sifu Eddie Chong in San Francisco during 1970s. Shi Fu Conway has consistently trained in Wing Chun for the past 20 years, and became a judge over 10 years ago. Shi Fu Conway has judged in 22 Kung
Fu tournaments including as a corner judge in Exhibition Lei Tai in five of those tournaments and is a referee in Continuous Light
Sparring. Other events I’ve judged include Chi Sao, Northern forms, Southern forms as well as weapons forms.
