THE LEAWOOD FOUNDATION
The Leawood Foundation provides resources for: Beautification of our Parks,
Community Education, Historic Preservation, and Accessibility/Safety
OUR MISSION
The Leawood Foundation funds cultural and educational amenities in our
community that might not otherwise be funded with tax dollars.
ANNUAL APPEAL FOR 2023 AND BEYOND PROJECTS
The Foundation makes its Annual Donor Appeal in November of each year. During this time,
Leawood residents are encouraged to donate to the Foundation for future projects that enhance living in
Leawood. Did you know that all donations will be used only to fund projects in the Leawood community?
The Leawood Foundation Board selected adding a new flush restroom along the
Tomahawk Creek Trail, at the North Lake, in 2020. Donations are still being accepted!
Members of the Board include: Alice Hawk-Chair, Michelle DeHaemers-Secretary, Mike Best-Treasurer,
Renny Arensberg, Marc Elkins, Ken Selzer, Susanne Teel, and Many Ann Waldenmeyer.
