Cooking
Join us for Culinary Artists of Leawood - Passport to
Australian Cooking. Come and Explore the world of
Australian Cuisine! We will be making Meat Pies,
Anzac Biscuits (Anzac Biscuits were created by soldiers'
wives and were sent to the front lines to bring a bit of
home to those at war), fairy bread, and Cherry Ripe
Slice (a cherry and coconut confection). We will eat
toward the end of the class. Aprons provided. Vegan
options can be arranged for all recipes. Please have
long hair pulled back and each student should bring a
water bottle. Please let us know of food allergies. No nuts
are ever used in our cooking classes. Students will get
to eat one piece of each item they make, and the rest
they will have to bring home. We are not a "gluten-free
certified class" meaning that cross-contamination of
gluten can happen.
